Hopper Assignment

In case you missed me, I spent the majority of April in New Orleans photographing hotels for Hopper. If you've never heard of Hopper, grab your phone NOW and download their app. Their app allows you to enter your travel destination and dates and then searches to find you the best flight and hotel prices. It sounds like all of the other travel sites, right? Wrong. Other sites just give you the current prices of all of the different airlines and hotels. Hopper actually tracks the rise and fall of prices and then notifies you when it's the best time for you to purchase to make sure that you save as much as possible...I'm starting to sound like a commercial! Anyway, I've booked several flights through their app now and have saved so much money by doing so. Manny and I actually leave for Canada next week and were able to buy our tickets for $200 each (they're currently $600/ticket).

Needless to say, I was so excited when I was asked to be a part of the creative team for New Orleans. It was definitely a neat experience that really required me to put my big girl panties on! For anyone who knows me, you know I don't like to go to unfamiliar places alone. I love to explore and travel but I always need someone with me. New Orleans isn't far from where I am but it still is pretty unfamiliar to me, so these three weeks definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me grow up a little bit. Photographing as many as four hotels a day, back to back for 4+ days at a time, I was too busy to even pay attention to my insecurities. This project was exhausting, challenging, and so so so rewarding. I'm definitely grateful that I was able to be a part of it.

I wanted to share some of the outtakes from my time in NOLA with you guys so you can see how cool some of these hotels are! A few of my favorites were the Cambria, W New Orleans, and le Meridien and I highly recommend checking them out if you're wanting to stay in downtown New Orleans :)
