The AFP Experience
You are more than a client and these are more than pictures.
As your photographer I document some of the most important and memorable moments in your life. Whether it is your wedding, family portraits, or the start of your business, I get to witness some pretty special moments. That's why I want to be more than just a vendor who provides a product and then never speaks to you again. Let's be friends! Let's grab coffee or dinner and get to know one another.
It's your day. It's about celebrating your love with the people most important to you. And when it all comes down to it, your photographer is going to be one of your most important investments. Keep reading to see how a wedding with me as your photographer will go!
After you book
Once you book with me, you, your fiancé, and I will meet for dinner (my treat!) and get to know one another. We'll talk about your big day, your vision, your dreams, etc. But mostly I just want to get to know you and spoil you because that's what I do for my friends! And I mean, c'mon, who doesn't like a free dinner?
2 weeks before
I told you I like to spoil my friends! At this point, it's about 2-3 weeks before your wedding and we're meeting to put together a custom timeline for your wedding day. (Oh and you'll get a special little wedding gift from me at this point as well). You and I will sit down and plan out the entire day - from start to finish - to ensure we have adequate time for all of your photos. That way we're not rushing and you are able to have the most relaxing, enjoyable, and stress-free day.
after your wedding
After your wedding, it will take me approximately 6-8 weeks to go through all of your photos and hand-edit them. On wedding days, I may take anywhere from 1000-1500 photos. That's a lot of photos to go through! But I promise you it is worth the wait, because once I am done, you'll receive an online gallery of all of your edited, high resolution wedding day photos, as well as a keepsake usb in the mail and a special photo gift!
I'm not a big fan of posing, trying to make kids sit still, or making your photos so stressful that they're no longer fun. To me, good portraits are the ones that are bursting with emotion. I want you to look at your photos and immediately have your eyes well up with tears because you remember how much fun our session was and you love how beautifully your happiness and love were captured by my camera. So don't be afraid to get dirty. Let the wind mess up your hair. And most importantly, come ready to have fun. These aren't your grandma's photos ;)
